Adjustable Bases

Adjustable bases are popular and you may have already heard of them. They are simply a platform that holds a mattress preferably in the same brand as the base to have the greatest warranty coverage. Most mattress and furniture retailers carry adjustable bases. They are a perfect investment for a stress-less way to read books, reduce snoring, breathe better, among a variety of other reasons! I say investment because if you want a quality one with a good warranty, you’ll be looking to spend anywhere from $3,000 to $10,000. These adjustable bases with the mattress included range between $3277 to $6554 depending on if you are going with a Twin XL, Queen, Cal King, or Split King. The images above show a Split King option which is perfect so you don’t disturb your spouse if you want to raise your side of the bed and vice versa.

Smart Blinds

Smart Blinds or roller shades, honeycomb shades, etc are available in a variety of customizable options. They are smart because with the control of a remote or with an automated system, they will automatically raise or lower. With a smart home system like Google Assistant, Apple Home Kit, or Amazon Alexa, you can schedule the blinds to raise open in the morning and lower in the evening without you even having to think about it! There are also ways to use IFTTT which means that if you have lighting on motion sensing, you set your blinds to close when the lights are activated. You could set the lighting to be dimmed for a set amount of time for reading before bed! To learn more about smart home technology, check out The Smart Home Solver’s website or on YouTube!

Smart Lighting

Speaking of lighting, this is one of the more popular ways to utilize for automation and IFTTT. You can choose a variety of light bulb styles and models; some with dimmable features and some with color-changing features. There are also light strips that are usually placed under a bed, around a TV, or inside a cabinet system. Anywhere you would like to have lighting, whether dimmed or in customizable colors, you can include it with smart home technology! Check out these light cool LED strips by Kasa Smart or these 2 varieties of Philips Hue Light Bulbs! Or check out any of these manufacturers below!

Smart Alarm Clocks

Smart Alarm Clocks are the most modern way to wake up in the morning. Gone are the days of jumping alertly out of bed from a blaring siren! Yes, you’ll wake up. But you won’t wake up naturally. With a smart alarm clock, you can schedule your day from morning to night, use IFTTT to automate other areas of your room like the smart blinds and smart lighting. You can select from a custom song or tune to fall asleep to and wake up to. There is an alarm clock feature in almost every device nowadays. So, if you’re tired of that blaring siren from the 80’s or even tired of using your smart phone to wake up, consider updating to a Lenovo Smart Alarm Clock with Google Assistant or Echo Show 8 by Amazon with Alexa.
