Tip #1

Share Photos of your Space!

Our #1 top tip for a successful eDesign project is by sending MVD photos of your space. If your room is small, try taking a photo while standing in the door way. This helps to capture the entire room!

Take note of where there are outlets, switches, and HVAC registers. Sometimes they are hiding behind furniture.

Some mechanical locations may be hidden permanently behind walls or immovable objects.

Tip #2

Share existing plans or blueprints!

If you want a more detailed approach to your design, the best tip is to share the existing plans or blueprints of the space.

You may be able to find existing plans or blue prints by contacting your builder if they did not already provide you with a copy. If you lost it, they might be able to provide you a new one.

If you never worked with a builder, sometimes you can contact your city building official, inspector, or building assessor.

Tip #3

SCAN A ROOM!

Modern Virtual Designs is all about discovering new ways to use technology. If you don’t want to fuss with a tape measure or laser tool, you don’t have to!

With the use of the new LiDAR scanner on the latest Apple products*, you can easily scan a room, share it to your e-Designer and wait for a new design! It’s pretty cool to say the least!

You can do this with your device and the RoomScan Pro app.
